This workshop workshop is an initiative of Brunei Darussalam’s commitment to support the ASEAN Education Workplan 2021-2025 under activity 2.3.4 which aims to enhance the leadership capacity and competencies of teachers across ASEAN. It aims to elevate instructional leadership among teachers who are Heads of Subjects in schoos, fostering innovation and preparing educational leaders to meet the challenges of 21st century education

“Theme: ‘Communication and Languages in Asian-Pacific Regions: Connection, Collaboration and Sustainability’
The aim of this conference is to advance communication and language studies with a focus on sustainable practices and provide a platform for researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to discuss challenges and opportunities in the field. Key topics include sustainable communication practices, language education and policy, the impact of linguistic diversity, and the role of education in fostering communication networks.
Aligned with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its SDGs, the conference will explore how communication and language research can enhance connectivity and collaboration across sectors and cultures. Contributions from various sub-fields such as media, linguistics, IT, politics, and global networks are welcomed to enrich the discussions.
The conference will also strengthen Brunei’s role in international communication research networks, facilitating the sharing of experiences and solutions. Experts, academics, and practitioners from around the world are invited to share their insights and strategies for advancing sustainable communication practices.”

Persidangan Antarabangsa Psikologi Gunaan dan Pedagogi 2025 (ICAPP 2025) ini dianjurkan sebagai kesinambungan Persidangan Antarabangsa Psikologi dan Pedagogi 2024 (ICoPP 2024) yang telah diadakan pada 1 Rabiulawal 1446H bersamaan 4 September 2024M. Persidangan ini akan dilaksanakan dengan melalui kerjasama rakan strategik antarabangsa Association Of Southeast Asian Teacher Education Network (AsTEN) . Antara objektif persidangan ialah berkongsi pengalaman dan kepakaran dalam kalangan pakar dan warga pendidik dalam memahami kepentingan psikologi sebagai asas amalan pedagogi berkesan ; Membentuk kefahaman atau tasawwur yang jelas dalam kalangan guru dan mereka yang terlibat dalam sektor pendidikan tentang psikologi gunaan dan hubungannya dengan keberkesanan pengajaran dan pembelajaran; dan Menjadikan psikologi Islam sebagai asas amalan pedagogi dalam kalangan guru dan mereka yang terlibat dalam sektor pendidikan. Tema bagi persidangan ini ialah Pendidikan Guru berteraskan Pedagogi dan Psikologi Abad ke-21.

The UBD STEAM Festival 2025, organised by the Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah Institute of Education (SHBIE) in collaboration with key faculties and research centers at Universiti Brunei Darussalam. This festival aims at bridging the gap between scientific research, innovation, and the wider community. Scheduled for four-day event will feature a vibrant mix of on-campus exhibitions, workshops, and interactive sessions, as well as off-campus outreach activities designed to engage schools and the public. With a strong focus on fostering STEAM education, promoting public understanding of science, and showcasing UBD’s latest research and innovations, the festival seeks to inspire a culture of lifelong learning, sustainability, and community engagement. By integrating a research component to gather audience perceptions and involving international collaborators, the festival promises to be a significant milestone in advancing science education, promoting STEAM careers, and enhancing sustainability efforts in Brunei Darussalam

This conference is a conference for ministers responsible for education from SEAMEO Member States to make policies and top-level decisions regarding general policies and the strategic direction of SEAMEO.

The SEAMEO Centres Policy Research Network (CPRN) Summit 2025, themed “Building Bridges to a Sustainable Future: Inclusive Collaboration and Innovation in Education, Science, and Culture”, will take place on 12–13 June 2025 at The Empire Hotel, Brunei Darussalam. This summit aims to convene researchers, experts, policymakers, and practitioners from SEAMEO Units, relevant Ministries, universities, and partners across Southeast Asia and beyond to explore the integration of technology and sustainability in key sectors. The event underscores the importance of inclusive collaboration and innovation in shaping a future-ready Southeast Asia. Discussions will focus on leveraging technology to transform education, advancing sustainable practices in science and innovation, and preserving and promoting cultural diversity. By fostering cross-disciplinary cooperation, the summit aspires to develop evidence-based solutions that address contemporary challenges while anticipating future trends. The summit will feature keynote speeches, panel discussions, poster presentations, and exhibitions providing a platform for experts to share insights, research findings, and policy recommendations. Additionally, the summit will facilitate networking opportunities, allowing participants to connect with peers and establish collaborations. Social events such as a welcome reception, coffee breaks, and a networking dinner will create an engaging environment for dialogue and professional exchange. The CPRN Summit 2025 is set to play a pivotal role in advancing sustainable and technological innovation in Southeast Asia, equipping the region with the strategies needed to thrive in a rapidly evolving world
