Bukit Shahbandar Recreational Park is one of Brunei’s most accessible rainforests, located just a short drive from Bandar Seri Begawan. Spread across 70 hectares of hilly terrain, this park is a favorite for adventure-seekers, joggers, and families alike. With trails ranging from gentle pathways to steep, demanding hikes, Bukit Shahbandar offers visitors a refreshing escape into nature. Known for its “Nine Hills” challenge, the park rewards hikers with panoramic views after completing its trails. Facilities include resting huts, an observation tower, and a serene lake, making it ideal for both short visits and extended explorations.
For those without access to a private car, we recommend using Dart (think of it as Brunei’s Uber or Grab) which is the most convenient option for traveling in Brunei. While it provides hassle-free booking and convenience, keep in mind that pricing may vary.
