Bright, bold, and full of character – the Colourful House, or Jabal Rahmah, is a cheerful splash along the Brunei River. Step closer to admire its rainbow‑painted exterior and antique treasures, lovingly preserved by generations of the same family.
With an exterior that is painted in an assortment of fun colours bright enough to put a smile on anyone’s face, the ‘Colourful House’ or ‘House Jabal Rahmah’ is home to a large collection of antiques that have been in Haji Sufri’s family for a few generations. If you’re lucky enough to spot the owners (and hear the honks of the geese at the back), you can sneak a peek inside which has a luxuriously furnished gold-themed interior complete with sparkling chandeliers and polished wood.
For those without access to a private car, we recommend using Dart (think of it as Brunei’s Uber or Grab) which is the most convenient option for traveling in Brunei. While it provides hassle-free booking and convenience, keep in mind that pricing may vary.
