Creative, Innovative Product and Technological Advancement (CIPTA) is a competition held on a biennial basis by Universiti Teknologi Brunei in partnership with Brunei LNG Sdn Bhd. The competition encompasses all areas of Science, Engineering and Technology.

The competition welcomes participation from schools, technical and tertiary academic institutions, government and private organizations, as well as the general public.
It serves as a platform for individuals and entities across Brunei Darussalam and the ASEAN region to showcase their innovative ideas and technological advancements.

The theme of CIPTA2025 is “Green Innovations”, which is developed to underscore the urgent need to harness human ingenuity and technological prowess to combat climate change, biodiversity loss, and other environmental threats. It represents a paradigm shift towards sustainable development, where innovation not only drives economic growth but also fosters environmental stewardship and social well-being.

The Green Innovations theme resonates deeply with global efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It aligns with global sustainability goals and Brunei’s commitment to green practices that will lead to a more sustainable future.
